In Dino’ opened with Rs 3.5 crore on its first day. It then ended its opening weekend on a high, collecting a total of Rs 16.17 crore.

A fresh look at city love stories‘Metro... In Dino’ gives us another peek into how love and life work out in busy city spaces. Much like Basu’s earlier film ‘Life... In A Metro’, this one also ties together different stories about love, heartbreak, trust and new beginnings, all set against the noise and rush of urban life.Konkona Sen Sharma is the only actor returning from the original film. She brings her usual quiet strength. Neena Gupta adds her own charm and depth.
Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal and Aditya Roy Kapur bring a young, breezy vibe. Veterans like Anupam Kher and Pankaj Tripathi add warmth and gentle humour.Film review‘The Times of India’, in its review, pointed out both the lovely parts and the slightly weaker bits of the film. It reads, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don’t quite add up, feel uneven and don’t know where to end. After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched.
You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper.
"But the review also made it clear why the film still works in today’s times. It said,“There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."
