confirmed that popular actor Nani will be a part of his film based on the Indian epic

As seen in a clip on X (formerly Twitter) shared by Suresh PRO,

affirmed Nani's casting in his dream project. He said, "Definitely, Nani will be part of my film based on Mahabharata."

The 'Baahubali' director known for his grand cinematic vision and blockbuster hits, has often spoken about his desire to adapt the Mahabharata into a multi-part film series, which he envisions as a decade-long endeavour. His confirmation that Nani will be involved marks the first official casting news for this epic venture.

During the same event, Nani expressed his gratitude to Rajamouli for the opportunity and praised the director’s legendary status in Indian cinema. He also revealed that 'HIT 3' includes a special "Rajamouli moment," a scene inspired by or dedicated to the filmmaker, which he and director Sailesh Kolanu frequently discussed during production.

Speaking of Nani's upcoming film, 'HIT: The Third Case' is an action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu and is the third installment in the popular 'HIT' Universe. Nani reprises his role as Arjun Sarkaar, a tough and dedicated cop tasked with tracking down a brutal serial killer. The film also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Rao Ramesh, and Maganti Srinath in key roles. The film is releasing on May 1, 2025.
Following 'HIT 3', Nani is set to collaborate with director Srikanth Odela, on his next film titled 'The Paradise'.
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli is working on his current mega project with superstar Mahesh Babu tentatively called, 'SSMB29'. The movie includes a star-studded cast featuring Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead.
