Salman Khan's Malegaon fans burst firecrackers inside theatre at Sikandar screening; continue trend despite repeated pleas from superstar - WATCH

Despite Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's repeated appeals, fans in

Malegaon

, Maharashtra, have once again set off fireworks inside the theatre, this time for his film Sikandar's screening.
A viral video doing the rounds online see the fans setting off rockets inside the theatre during Salman and Rashmika's dance sequence. The bursting of crackers prompted a chaotic scene prompting people on the balcony to leave their seats as the rockets were seen hitting the ceiling and coming back down amidst the rows of seats.
While some were seen shouting in fear, others were seen hooting and cheering.

This incident was similar to the 2023 occurrence during the release of Tiger 3, when Salman fans burst rockets and even string bombs inside the theatre in the front rows during the actor's entry scene. In response, Salman Khan had urged his fans to refrain from such activities, emphasizing the potential risks involved. It had been reported that the screening had to be halted owing to the smoke and commotion.

The viral clip even prompted Salman to condemn the actions and request his fans. In a statement to ANI, he said, "Bursting crackers inside theatres is dangerous and I am not at all in support of this. Also, instead of pouring milk (on pictures of actors), poor children must be fed with it."

In 2021, he had also issued a statement to his fans in a social media post and requested theatre owners to conduct security checks to avoid fire hazards and risk to life. His note read, "Requet all my fans not to take fire crackers inside the auditorium as it could prove to be a huge fire hazard thereby endangering your lives and also others. My request to theatre owners not to allow fire crackers to be taken inside the cinema and security should stop them from doing so at entry point. Enjoy the film by all means but please, please avoid this is my request to all my fans. Thank you."
