After the humungous success of '
Gadar 2
', Sunny Deol is now gearing up for the release of his next, '
Jaat
'. This one is an actioner which will see Deol battling with Randeep Hooda who plays a baddie. While Deol is on cloud 9 with the success of 'Gadar 2' and the work coming his way after that, in a recent interview, he said that he was really scared to make the movie.
Sunny said during a chat with Komal Nahta, "Gadar 2 banane se bohot darr raha tha because voh film ka ek pyaarapan tha, ek khoobsurati thi jo logo ke dil main baithi hui hai. Doosri film, uska part 2 karoon, kahin uske andar agar galat ho gaya toh logo ne jis cheez ka maza liya voh kahin kharab na ho jaaye (I was scared to make Gadar 2 because the innocence and beauty of the first film is still in the hearts of the audience. If I made a mistake with Gadar 2, then that would be ruined)."
He added, "Uss darr se main badh nahi raha tha lekin jab kahani suni… Acchi baat film ki yeh hai ki hum vohi characters ko, ussi zamane ko, ussi tarah se usse poore confidence ke saath nibhaya. Humne uspe kuch zyada aaj ka modernisation karne ki koshish nahi ki… would have fallen flat on our faces (The fear was stopping me from making Gadar 2, but when I heard the story… The good thing about the film is that we used the same characters, era and technique with confidence. We didn’t try to modernise it)."
Meanwhile, at the trailer launch event of 'Jaat' in Mumbai, Sunny said that
Bollywood
should learn from south. He also hinted at moving here. He said, "I wish Bollywood producers learn something from South producers. Make it Hindi cinema first, and then learn how to make cinema.” He added that in the south, the script is the hero.During the event, he also said, "Kya pata wahin ja ke bas jau main (It might happen that I go and settle there)."
