headlined by Ram Charan, and directed by Shankar. Before the shows began this morning at 6 am, the film had already sold tickets worth Rs 26 crore while with block booking, the collection had jumped to Rs 43.55 crore (Block booking: Rs 17.55 crore) in advance booking .

Now with morning shows, the film has clocked in a solid Rs 14.66 crore collection, and it would be interesting to see if the film will be able to cross the Rs 50 crore mark making it the biggest solo day 1 collection for Ram Charan. The film is getting a lot of mixed response from the critics, as many are calling it an average affair, riding solely on Ram Charan’s star power and charisma and Thaman’s music.
The film has faced multiple hiccups on its way to the release: from date changes to Lyca Productions trying to stall its release in Tamil Nadu. But even now, the film is not free from all the problems - the song Naanaa Hyraanaa which was shot with Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, didn’t make it to the final print, as the makers faced technical issues during the processing of infrared images into the final print. The much loved song will only be added by Monday.

Even in North America which is the biggest market for Telugu films outside of India, the film has faced issues with delivery of drives leading to many premiere day shows being put on hold. The distributors are claiming that the film would be able to collect over US $ 900,000 from premiere shows, despite the delay. The break even cost for the film has been pegged at US $4.5 million, which given the reviews, look difficult.
Game Changer also features Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in pivotal roles.
